Email marketing is a highly cost-effective way of sending communications. It is quick, offers highly measurable results and is easily personalised. You can use email to keep in touch with your client base, build relationships and promote services or offers.

For Avatar hosted clients only; we offer a managed email marketing service, whereby we work with you to set up and send an email marketing campaign. If your Web site is not hosted by Avatar and you are interested in using self-service email marketing software, please refer directly to Gravity Mail.

Avatar’s Rocket Mailing Service

Our email marketing service for Avatar hosted clients includes account, project and mailing management. This service makes it easy and convenient for you to run an email marketing campaign, as no technical knowledge is required.

Benefits of our managed email marketing service include:

  • Expert HTML design and build
  • Easy to view campaign reports
  • Automated list management (for bounces, invalid emails and unsubscribes)

You will need to provide email lists, content or a content brief. Please remember, that in accordance with New Zealand legislation and best email practise, Rocket Mailing is offered for opt-in mailing lists only*.

Newsletters

  • Design and build a newsletter HTML page (1 re-useable template, including up to 3 tweaks)
  • (Or) build a newsletter HTML page from an existing design template (1 template).

Mailing Lists

  • Re-format your mailing list and load into the mailing software.

Campaign Management

  • Set up your Rocket Mailing account
  • Provide you with a login username and password
  • Confirm details of your campaign with you
  • Upload your mailing list
  • Set up mailing campaigns
  • Test and preview your email
  • Send out mailing campaign.

Optional Extras

As part of your email marketing campaign management, we can also create the following:

  • Newsletter sign up facility on your Web site (home or sub page)
  • Newsletter subscription form on your Web site
  • A 'thank you' for your Web site, which appears following subscription
  • Archive page with links to your newsletter back issues
  • Data management facility.
