Project GuideThis guide is to let you know what the four main stages in the process for a Web copywriting project are. When you and your Project Manager have finalised the project specification (the paperwork!) you will work directly with your Avatar Web copywriter.
The Web copywriting process involves four stages. The first stage of research is followed by three proof stages. (All proofs will be presented to you in Word format and sent via email, unless otherwise agreed.) Stage 1: Web Copywriting Project ResearchOur Web copywriter will introduce themselves to you either by email or phone. Your Web writer will begin by talking to you about your project brief, your business, and your target market. Your Web copywriter may also ask you to supply information about your company and branding. This may include leaflets, brochures or business cards. The more information you provide your Web copywriter the better. Stages 2-4: The Web Copywriting Approval ProcessFirst Proof You will be presented with the first proof of text in a word format for your comments. At first proof, the majority of Web copywriting work is usually completed. You will be asked to offer detailed feedback on the first proof. Second Proof On the back of your feedback, our Web copywriter will amend the first proof and present a second proof of text for your consideration. You will be asked to make corrections, if required and any (small) changes should be clearly communicated to your Web copywriter. Final Proof By now, your text is (usually) complete. The final proof, ready for publication, is now presented for your formal sign-off / approval. You do have the opportunity to make any final minor corrections and tweaks, although this may delay delivery of the text. Following final proof stage, we request email approval from you to confirm that the project has been completed to your satisfaction.
